Hi, I am Jo Pay. I created Standish Dog Trainer 18 years ago and have been a dog training professional for over 25  years.

I am a dog trainer and training & behaviour consultant for Channel 4’s, The Dog Academy. You can catch me in action here: “The Dog Academy”.

I have completed the  Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management with Compass Education, achieving a Distinction.
I am  the European Manager for Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Training, the European Coordinator for Victoria Stilwell Academy, and a Mentor & Faculty Advisor  for Victoria Stilwell Academy.

I am  a KC Rally judge, a canine fitness instructor, am a qualified and accredited Instructor for Agility & Hoopers and a volunteer trainer for DogAID.

My dog Indie and I have worked together achieving Indie’s Bronze, Silver and Gold Kennel Club awards. Indie has also qualified as “Excellent” at Kennel Club Rally Obedience at Levels 1, 2, 3, 4,5 and 6. My dog Twist assists in all of our online teaching, from canine fitness to puppy packages, he is a great  demo dog!

Hello, I’m Amy. I’ve been working with Standish Dog Trainer since 2013.
I have completed the Extended Diploma in Animal Management where I achieved D*D*D*.As part of my course, I needed to complete a number of hours of voluntary work experience and was at a bit of a loss of where I wanted to go, so when Skeeter graduated puppy classes, Jo very kindly agreed to let me volunteer with her and she hasn’t got rid of me since!  

I teach throughout all of the classes we offer, and work on 121 training, both online and in-person.

My dog Skeeter and I have worked together to achieve his Bronze and Silver Kennel Club Awards and have recently completed the scheme by achieving our Gold Award!

In 2019 I set up my own dog walking and training business called Positively Peaches where I offer more than just a dog walking service. I work with the owners to create a training plan and then help do some of the work for them while they are at work.

With classes, 121s and walks, I believe strongly in creating a support bubble for the human and their dog to create clear goals and form strong dog-human relationships which set everyone up for success!
