Marc-Antoine Corticchiato

Born in Morocco to a Corsican family, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato grew up amidst the vibrant scents of his parents' citrus groves in Azemmour and the captivating aromas of the Corsican maquis in the village of Corticchiato. A skilled horseman from a young age, Marc-Antoine initially considered pursuing a career in equestrian sports. However, his innate fascination with the mysteries of scent production in aromatic plants ultimately led him to study chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. by developing a novel technique to analyze aromatic plant extracts using carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance. Marc-Antoine completed his education at the prestigious ISIPCA (École Internationale de Parfumerie de Versailles) to further hone his skills.

Before entering the world of high fragrance, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato worked in a research laboratory focused on analyzing aromatic plants and their extraction methods. He dedicated years to studying natural raw materials, acquiring in-depth knowledge of their properties and applications. His research and findings were published in numerous international scientific journals.

Marc-Antoine's passion for plant life and scents ultimately led him to the realm of perfumery. In pursuit of his vision, he founded Parfum d'Empire, a brand dedicated to expressing the rich tapestry of fragrances inspired by the noblest raw materials and their history across different cultures.
