Talk about a gem.

This place is amazing. It's hidden in a small strip mall. Once you're inside the place is cozy and welcoming. We sat in the patio, it was great!

We ordered pozole de pollo, and a tostada de pata. Holy smokes was the pozole good. It's white pozole, they offer a red salsa that's just so delicious. It's spicy so add to taste.

The tostada de pata was delicious, plenty of pata on it. The pata was very tender. It comes with a little green salsa that's a must.

We also ordered cafe the olla which surprisingly comes with refills.

Service was great, staff is very attentive, quick and efficient.

Will have to come back to try their enchiladas. The table next to us ordered them, too bad I was already full.

HORRIBLE SERVICE + BLAND POZOLE!!!! waited 1 hour to get half of our order (that was wrong), and when I asked the waiter about my missing food, he said I didn't order anything?! After I reminded him of what I ordered, he didn't even apologize he just said he forgot and said it would be another 45 min
My wife ordered the enchiladas without cheese, and he brought them with extra cheese!!. When he took them back, he told the owner it was our fault and didn't tell him. When the owner came to talk to us, we explained what happened she just said sorry and gave us the bill
If you like to be called a liar and have 2 hours to kill on waiting for your food, this is the place for you. Just remembered to bring a snack to eat while you wait for your food

A gem in the heart of Santa Ana. We came in on a Sunday morning and expected a long wait. We waited about 10 minutes and we're quickly sat in the patio area which immediately feels like a transport directly to your abuelita's backyard in your hometown in Mexico.

Upon being seated the server brought over a pan bolillo sliced in pieces and accompanied with strawberry jam. The bolillo tasted as if it was fresh out of the oven. We had to order a second round.

I had the enchiladas verdes with chicken milanesa. The enchiladas were good but maybe next I'll ask for a bit more spicy. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. The beans were amazing and tasted homemade.

Service was a bit slow but the place was very busy and the patio only had one server. Despite being overloaded with work she was kind and friendly.

Great service! Great food it was worth the wait! Yes it doesn't get busy during rush hour but it was definitely worth waiting. Their orange juice and cafe de Olla are a MUST!!

Waited about 45 minutes for a table for 3. But it didn't matter. Food was spot on and service was great!

This was one of my favorite spots for their cafe de olla and Bisquetes con mermelada. Unfortunately I won't ever be going back. I received my bread toasted with a fly grilled on it. I called and they said come back and we will replace it. Not even an I am sorry, or a discount. I don't want the food anymore almost a $45 order gone to waste. This places needs to be checked by a healt inspector or something. I guess 12 violations

so sad. I loved this place.

Food: I'll rate it 4.5 stars pretty good for being authentic Mexican food flavor and presentation is there.

Service:
Needs 100% improvement we waiting 45 minutes once we got in we got service right away but there was no refill on coffee you can tell people we're waiting there before us and there was just chilling on the tables until they got service to leave to pay. I got our food, but never told us of the food was good. If you need anything else it was just sat down on the table or so. Please let me know if you need anything right now! Total time to visit here plan 1/2 of your day kidding!

Ambiance:
It's cute little place outside you'll just hear people talking music it's nice.

Will I go back? NO UNTIL SERVICE IS SERIOUSLY 50 % improved

If this Rating was just about the food I would definitely give it a 5/5 stars( I got the 3 marias )but unfortunately the service is so bad. I went here during COVID times and service was amazing. Wait was about 15 min even when they were super busy, our waitress was attentive. I went back this weekend with my family and it took about 1.5 hours to be seated. When finally being sat down, we ordered our drinks. It took almost another 20 minutes for drinks to come out. Our waitress had an attitude problem when asking for napkins. Then took even longer to come back and take our order. Our drinks where never refilled, we were never asked if we needed anything and it took forever to get our food. Again we kept getting hit with the waitress attitude when asking for anything. Not only that we had to chase her down to ask for drinks, the bill, to go boxes. I am considering not returning ever due to the service.

No es la primera vez que alguien se queja sobre el pésimo servicio que tienen en este lugar. La comida es rica pero el servicio es una basura.

Food is good, and their service is also good but the wait time every time I visit is unbelievable. Wait time to get seat is long, but what takes longer is your food to come out.
