Barbra Streisand Writes Heartbreaking Message For Celine Dion

Dion lost her husband René Angélil last week.

Barbra Streisand is sending love to her old friend Celine Dion.

The 73-year-old singer showed support for the Canadian singer over Instagram, writing a message about Dion's late husband Rene Angelil. She also posted a retro picture of the two sitting on stairs.

"Dear @CelineDion - Every time you look at your children’s faces, you will see René. With love and strength - B.," she writes.

Angelil, 74, died last week after a long battle with throat cancer. Dion also lost her brother Daniel Dion to cancer two days later.

Streisand and Dion's friendship goes back to the 90s and the two even recorded a single together — "Tell Him" — in 1997.

Angelil's funeral is set to be held Friday afternoon in Montreal.
